Descrizione generale

Sulfometuron methyl, can be called as one of the few sulfonylurea herbicides with high herbicidal activity.[1] It can inhibit the growth of several bacterial species including Salmonella typhimurium, found in intestinal lumen and can also suppress the growth of yeast like Saccharomyces cerevisiae[1] by blocking acetolactate synthase enzyme.[2]
