特异性
丝氨酸内肽酶，水解赖氨酸或精氨酸羧基侧的肽键和酯键；比胰蛋白酶的选择性更高。
应用
牛纤维蛋白溶酶已被用作评估纤维蛋白溶酶传感器和蛋白水解检测的标准品。
生化/生理作用
它在蛋白酶解和纤维蛋白溶解起着重要作用。纤维蛋白溶酶具有导致发炎的活性。纤维蛋白溶酶也涉及肽键的水解，之后产生精氨酸或赖氨酸。它还可以裂解激素，如胰高血糖素、促血小板生成素和生长激素。纤维蛋白溶酶在C3和C5等补体因子、凝血因子V和VII、基质蛋白、生长因子、上皮细胞钙粘蛋白和金属蛋白酶的裂解中起一定作用。
