Description générale

Creatinine is excreted at fairly constant rates in the absence of renal disease and commonly used as benchmark in urinary biomarker analysis. Serum creatinine levels are useful indicators of renal function and have been implicated in diabetes, cardiovascular and circulatory diseases. A certified Snap-N-Spike® solution suitable for use as starting material in calibrators and controls in creatine LC/MS or GC/MS testing methods for clinical diagnostic, urine drug testing or forensic analysis applications.

Application

  • Creatinine solution in renal function research: Creatinine solution is utilized extensively as a high-purity standard for calibrating assays that measure kidney function, aiding in the diagnosis and monitoring of renal health. Its application is crucial in clinical settings for evaluating glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and kidney disease progression (Xing et al., 2024).

  • Creatinine for biochemical assays: As a stable biochemical reagent, creatinine solution is employed in various enzymatic assays and biochemical studies to understand creatinine metabolism and its implications in health and disease. This research-grade creatinine aids in the development of more accurate and sensitive diagnostic techniques (Lowe-Jones et al., 2024).

  • Use in scientific experiments: Creatinine solution is vital in scientific research for creating controlled experimental conditions, particularly in studies focusing on the biochemical pathways involving creatinine and its impact on cellular processes. It serves as a critical component in metabolic studies and cellular biology (Wowk et al., 2024).

  • Pharmaceutical research applications: In pharmaceutical research, creatinine solutions are used as standards in the development and validation of pharmacokinetic models. These models help in understanding how drugs influence creatinine levels in the body, which is crucial for the safe and effective use of numerous medications (Carvalho Pereira et al., 2024).

  • Renal pathology studies: The application of creatinine solutions in renal pathology helps in assessing the impact of various conditions on kidney function. It is particularly useful in studies where precise measurements of creatinine are necessary to determine the effect of therapeutic interventions or disease progression on renal health (Shao et al., 2024).
