General description
El hiclato de doxiciclina, un antibiótico sintético de tetraciclina, demuestra una actividad antimicrobiana de amplio espectro contra varias bacterias al unirse a las subunidades ribosómicas 30S y posiblemente las 50S. Application
El hiclato de doxiciclina se ha utilizado para la inducción de células de glioma y células de riñón embrionario humano 293T (HEK293T).
El hiclato de doxiciclina es un derivado sintético de la oxitetraciclina. Se ha utilizado para eliminar Borrelia burgdorferi y Anaplasma phagocytophilum en roedores reservorios y para eliminar las garrapatas Ixodes scapularis[1]. Es un inhibidor de amplio espectro utilizado para inhibir las metaloproteinasas de la matriz[2] (MMP), como la colagenasa de tipo 1 en estudios de cicatrización de heridas y remodelación tisular.

Aqueous solutions of Doxycycline are light sensitive and should be used within 48 hours. The long term stability of aqueous solutions at -20°C has not been evaluated. However, the Doxycycline HCl Ready Made solution is prepared at 100 mg/ml in DMSO. This product is assigned a shelf life of 1 year and is stored at -20°C.
