Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas

La clindamicina es un antibiótico lincosamida semisintético que se prepara a partir de la lincomicina. Inhibe la síntesis de proteínas bacterianas mediante interacciones de enlaces de hidrógeno con el componente 23S del ARNr de la subunidad ribosómica 50S induciendo así la disociación del complejo peptidil-t-ARN. Tiene actividad anti bacteriana contra los cocos grampositivos y actividad antiprotozoaria contra Toxoplasma.
