Anwendung
Dextran markiert mit Fluoresceinisothiocyanat für eine mögliche Verwendung in Perfusionstudien an Tieren.
FITC-Dextran wird für Forschungszwecke in den Bereichen Herz-Kreislauf, Mikrozirkulation, Perfusion, Zellmonoschicht und Zellmembranpermeabilität als fluoreszente Flusstracerverbindung eingesetzt, die die Messung von Prozessen wie Durchblutung, Membranschädigung, vaskuläre Drainage und renale Elimination unterstützt.[1] Kleine FITC-Dextrane werden außerdem zur Messung von Prozessen wie Endozytose und Zellverbindungspermeabilität verwendet.[2] FITC-Dextran 70 kDa (FD-70) kann als Modellverbindung für die Entwicklung von Methoden genutzt werden, um Moleküle in Protoplasten einzubringen und um die Wirkstofffreisetzung aus Strukturen wie Hydrogelen und Liposomen zu untersuchen. FD-70 kann in Studien zur Permeabilität von Mikrogefäßen und Zellmonoschichten verwendet werden.[3]

The long term solution stability of this product has not been determined. Solutions should be protected from light. Per literature references, FITC-Dextran is stable in vivo for more than 24 hours. Please see the link below for additional information.
