All-rac-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, the ester of all-rac-alpha-tocopherol, is a commercial form of vitamin E. It is responsible for the protection of phenol groups of the parent tocopherol against oxidation.[1][2]

Anwendung

All-rac-alpha-tocopheryl acetate for peak identification may be used as an EP reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by liquid chromatography.[3]
