ProClin™-Konservierungsmittel werden bei Kontakt mit mikrobiellen Organismen aufgrund ihrer Fähigkeit, schnell in Zellmembranen einzudringen, umgehend mikrostatisch und hemmen spezifische Enzyme, die für die Zellatmung von hoher Bedeutung sind. Da ProClin™ an mehreren spezifischen Stellen toxisch wirkt, können Mikroorganismen keine hohe Resistenz entwickeln, weshalb ProClin™ selbst bei längerer Lagerung der IVD-Komponenten eine hohe Wirksamkeit aufweist.
