Dianhydro-D-glucitol is a greener ingredient widely used as a monomer and building block for a variety of polymers and functional materials, for medical and pharmaceutical applications.[1][2][3] It is also used as a fuel or fuel additive.[1]

- Synthesis of biodegradable porous polyurethane scaffolds for tissue repair and regeneration.[2]
