Application

DNA/RNA G-quadruplexes (G4s) are four-stranded nucleic acid structures that fold from numerous guanine (G)-rich sequences found in the genome and transcriptome. Their abundance and localization in critical regulatory regions make them key players in genetic diseases (cancer, neuropathology), but not only (e.g., viral infection). For this reason G4s have garnered intense interest as potential targets in different therapeutic areas
The BioTracker MultiTASQ G-quadruplex G4 cell probe is optimized for detection (1) and/or the isolation of G4s (2,3). MultiTASQ utilizes the template-assembled synthetic G-quartets (TASQ) (4) concept as a biomimetic ligand for G-quadruplexes, a design which results in high specificity for folded G4.
