General description

Ferrous sulfate is the sulfate salt of divalent cation form of iron. It is an essential body mineral, that is commonly used in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia.
Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.

Application

Ferrous sulfate may be used as a reference standard for the determination of the analyte in bulk drug and pharmaceutical formulation by titrimetry and spectroscopy.
