General description

1H-1,2,3-Triazolo[4,5-b]pyridine belongs to the class of triazolopyridine. It reacts with europium under solvothermal conditions in pyridine to yield the homoleptic framework containing Eu^II centers that are icosahedrally coordinated by the 12 nitrogen atoms of six chelating ligands. The surface-enhanced Raman (SER) spectra of 1H-1,2,3-triazolo[4,5-b]pyridine adsorbed on silver hydrosols is studied in the region 3500-100cm^-1.

Application

1H-1,2,3-Triazolo[4,5-b]pyridine (1,2,3-Triazolo(5,4-b)pyridine) may be used:

• as starting reagent in the synthesis of 2,4,8,10-tetranitro-5H-pyrido[3″,2″:4′,5′] [1,2,3] triazolo [1′,2′:1,2] [1,2,3]- triazolo [5,4-b]-pyridin-6-ium inner salt
• in the pesticide synthesis
• as an entry to mesoionic heteropentalene derivatives
