Tumor necrosis factor-a converting enzyme (TACE; ADAM17) is a member of the ADAM (A Disintegrin And Metalloprotease) protein family implicated in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. TACE activates Notch signaling in the epidermal cells and has a critical function in the maintenance of barrier immunity. It is also involved in neurogenesis and muscle development.
Applicazioni
Tace Inhibitor Screening Assay Kit has been used in TACE (TNFa converting enzyme) activity assays.[1]
Caratteristiche e vantaggi
Compatible with high-throughput handling systems.
Compatibilità
Suitable for the screening of inhibitors of TACE.
Principio
The TACE Inhibitor Screening Assay Kit is a rapid, simple and sensitive assay that is suitable for high throughput screening of TACE inhibitors. TACE hydrolyzes a FRET-tagged substrate to release a fluorescent product (λex = 318/ λem = 449 nm), proportional to the enzymatic activity present.
ADAM17 (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase 17)/TACE (TNFα converting enzyme) has emerged as a potential therapeutic target in colorectal cancer (CRC) and other cancers, due in part to its role in regulating various tumor cell surface proteins and growth factors and
