FICD (FIC domain-containing protein) is commonly referred to as HYPE (huntingtin yeast partner E). The protein contains a core HPFxxGNGR motif. FICD localizes in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum.

Applicazioni

Azioni biochim/fisiol

FICD (FIC domain-containing protein) interacts with huntingtin and also adenylylates Rho GTPases in vitro. It has been shown to adenylate BiP (binding immunoglobulin protein), the molecular chaperone in the endoplasmic reticulum.
