Applicazioni

Activated charcoal (activated carbon) has been used:
  • As an adsorbent for p-cresol in the fermentation broth, during its synthesis from p-hydroxyphenylacetate catalyzed by p-hydroxyphenylacetate decarboxylase.[1]
  • To form a charcoal filter in a Drierite cartridge for removing organic compounds from the air for the odor delivery system.[2]
  • As an organic sorbent to study adsorption equilibrium of ammonia gas.[3]

The development of a general catalytic method for the direct and stereoselective construction of contiguous all-carbon quaternary stereocentres remains a formidable challenge in chemical synthesis. Here, we report a highly enantio- and diastereoselective [3+2] annulation reaction of 5-vinyloxazolidinones and activated

A typical way to quantify aboveground carbon in forests is to measure tree diameters and use species-specific allometric equations to estimate biomass and carbon stocks. Using "citizen scientists" to collect data that are usually time-consuming and labor-intensive can play a

Questions

1–2 of 2 Questions
  1. What is the source of this activated carbon? Is it coconut based; coal based; lignite based, etc.?

    1 answer
    1. This item is chemically manufactured from raw materials of plant origin. The species is not identified and may vary.

      Helpful?

  2. I would like to know the surface area and the pore size of this product?

    1 answer
    1. Unfortunately, the pore size, pore volume and surface area of each lot of Product C3014 are not determined.
A surface area of at least 1000 square meters per gram is typical for activated charcoal/activated carbon.
