Azioni biochim/fisiol

Il thimerosal è un reagente ossidante (tiolo) sulfidrilico in grado di inibire un′ampia varietà di proteine ed enzimi sulfidril-dipendenti, quali la metionina sintasi dipendente da PI3-chinasi, i recettori per il trasporto del glutammato e le ATPasi dipendenti da Na++K+.
