Descrizione generale

Chlorothiazide belongs to the class of thiazide diuretic drugs. It is used for the management of postparturient udder edema in cattle.[1] Its mode of action involves the inhibition of chloride reabsorption in the proximal portion of distal tubule.[2]

Applicazioni

Chlorothiazide may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by chromatography.[3][4][5]
