Les colonnes échangeuses de cations Supelcosil LC-SCX présentent des groupements acides propylsulfoniques fortement acides et sont employées pour la séparation des cations. Pour contrôler la rétention et la sélectivité, ajustez le pH, la force ionique et la concentration en solvant organique.

Application

Supelcosil™ LC-SCX HPLC column was used during the purification and characterization of 8-hydroxyguanine (oh8Gua), from Human Urine.[1] It was used as a cation exchange column, during measurement and extraction of water-soluble arsenic, freeze-dried marine animal tissues, using high performance liquid chromatography-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (HPLC-ICP-MS).[2] It was also used in the chromatographic separation of arsenic compounds.[3]

  1. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature.   2. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

    1. The Supelcosil LC-SCX HPLC column is packed with an aliphatic sulfonic acid functionalized silica, and can handle pressures up to 4000 psi. Most columns test out at less than 1500 psi.

  5. What mobile phases can be used on the Supelcosil LC-SCX HPLC column, Product 58997?

    1. Polar and non-polar HPLC solvents can be used as mobile phases for the Supelcosil LC-SCX, within pH range of 2-7.  The mobile phase used for testing and shipping of the column is 0.05M KH2PO4 buffer (pH 3.5):acetonitrile (65:35).  Cleaning solvents include deionized water, methanol, acetonitrile, and methylene chloride.

    1. Supelguard LC-SCX can be purchased as a guard column kit, Product No. 59509, that includes a guard cartridge in a cartridge holder, with tubing and fittings for installation in front of your analytical column.  Replacement LC-SCX cartridges can be purchased as a 2 pack, Product No. 59519.
