Description générale

This certified reference material (CRM) is produced and certified in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 17034. This CRM is traceable to primary material from an NMI, e.g. NIST or NMIJ.
Certified content by quantitative NMR incl. uncertainty and expiry date are given on the certificate.
Download your certificate at: http://www.sigma-aldrich.com.
Aminoazobenzenes (AABs) are a class of compounds containing the azo group, which renders them colored. They have been used as dyes for fabrics, polishes, and food. 4-dimethylaminoazobenzene (DMAB), was used to color margarine.

Application

It is intended to be used as a certified reference material (CRM) for calibration in chromatography and other analytical techniques.
The 4-Aminoazobenzene CRM can also be used as given below:

  • To study the spectral characteristics of 1-(2,4-diamino phenylazo) naphthalene and 4-aminoazobenzene by tautomerization and inclusion complexation
  • To study the inclusion complexes of ß-cyclodextrin (ß-CD) with 4-hydroxyazobenzene and 4-aminoazobenzene
  • In the detection of 4-aminoazobenzene using copper nanoclusters prepared using ascorbic acid
