Allgemeine Beschreibung

Peptidyl -prolyl cis-trans isomerase B (PPIB) is a cyclosporin A binding protein localized to the calcium-containing intracellular vesicles. It is expressed in the endoplasmic reticulum and nuclear matrix. The gene encoding this protein is present on chromosome 15.

Anwendung

Anti-PPIB antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. Peptidyl -prolyl cis-trans isomerase B (PPIB) is involved in the activation of peripheral blood T-lymphocytes and has the ability to mediate immunosuppressant Cyclosporin A inhibition. It interacts with growth hormone and prolactin, and acts as a chaperone facilitating their nuclear retro-transport. Mutations in the gene cause severe osteogenesis imperfecta.
