General description

Cytidin-5′-triphosphat (CTP) ist ein hochenergetisches Molekül und Pyrimidinnukleosidtriphosphat. Es dient als Substrat für die RNA-Synthese. CTP dient auch als Coenzym bei der Synthese von Glycerophospholipiden und der Glykosylierung von Proteinen. Es besteht aus Cytidin und drei Phosphatgruppen und kann eine potente Phosphatquelle sein.
