ZFP42, also known as REX1 and ZNF754, is a zinc finger protein and a marker of pluripotent stem cells. It is expressed in placenta during spermatogenesis and early embryogenesis. ZFP42 regulates the expression of endogenous retroviral elements in mouse embryonic stem cells.[1]
