Application

Luteinizing hormone releasing hormone (salmon) has been used to study the effect of LHRH (luteinizing hormone releasing hormone) in the brain of Podarcis sicula sicula (male) during reproduction. It has been used to study the hormonal regulation of PACAP (pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide) and its receptor, PAC1 (adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide 1 (pituitary) receptor type I).

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

Hypothalamic peptide that stimulates release of gonadotrophins from anterior pituitary, thus regulating reproductive functions.

Autres remarques
