Erbium(III) nitratepentahydrate is widely used as a dopant/precursor to synthesize Er-dopednanomaterials for luminescence applications. For example, it can be used toprepare yttrium alumino-borate (YAB) thin films and Er+-Yb3+ co-doped TiO2electrode layer.
