Description générale

The Human EGF ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human EGF in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants.

Immunogène

Recombinant Human EGF

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)
Human EGF ELISA Kit has been used to examine the concentration of epidermal growth factor (EGF) in adipose derived stem cell conditioned medium (ADSC-CM).

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

Epidermal growth factor (EGF) is the member of EGF-like family of growth factors, which binds to EGF receptor. EGF increases proliferation and migration in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSC), that gives rise to osteoblasts, chondrocytes and adipocytes. It blocks gastric acid and pepsin secretion and enhances gastrointestinal cell proliferation. It functions as a strong mitogenic factor for various cultured cells. Mutations in this gene is associated with hypomagnesemia..
