General description
La solution pénicilline-streptomycine, ou Pen-Strep, est la solution d′antibiotiques la plus couramment utilisée dans la culture des cellules de mammifères. La solution pénicilline-streptomycine est employée pour maintenir des conditions stériles lors de la culture cellulaire et présente peu d′effets indésirables sur les cellules en culture.[1]
Application
La solution de pénicilline-streptomycine est utilisée comme complément pour milieu de culture en vue du contrôle de la contamination bactérienne.[2][3][4] Elle a également été utilisée pour préparer des émulsions de lipides.[5] Sa dilution recommandée dans les applications de culture cellulaire est de 10 ml/l.

Conserver le récipient bien fermé dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé. Les récipients ouverts doivent être fermés avec soin et maintenus à la verticale pour éviter toute fuite.

What is the storage temperature and the stability of the Penicillin-Streptomycin solution?

This product is stored at -20°C and is assigned an expiration date of approximately 3 years from the date of Quality Release. Upon thawing, the solution may be aliquoted and refrozen one time for long term storage, up to the lot specific expiration date. The thawed solution is stable for up to 1 week if stored refrigerated and up to 3 days in culture medium at 37°C
