Especificidade

Clone 4G9 is a ZooMAb^® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that detects Proto-oncogene c-Rel. It targets an epitope within 22 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human c-Rel.

Aplicação

Quality Control Testing

Evaluated by Western Blotting in Jurkat cell lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution of this antibody detected Proto-oncogene c-Rel in Jurkat cell lysate.

Tested Applications

Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected c-Rel in Daudi, Jurkat, and MCF-7 cells.

Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected c-Rel in Rat spleen tissue sections.

Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens, and experimental conditions may vary with the end user.

Proto-oncogene c-Rel (UniProt: Q04864; also known as c-Rel, REL) is encoded by the REL gene (Gene ID: 5966) in human. c-Rel is one of the five subunits of the Nuclear Factor kappa B (NF- B) family of proteins. It can act as a transcriptional activator by binding to specific DNA sequences ( B sites). It contains several conserved domains, including an N-terminal DNA-binding domain, a dimerization domain called the Rel homology domain, and a C-terminal transcriptional activation domain that enables c-Rel to bind to DNA and regulate gene expression. c-Rel forms a dimer mostly with the p50 or RelA NF- B subunits, but other combinations can also occur. It is a cellular homologue of the avian Rev-T retroviral oncoprotein v-Rel. It plays a crucial role in immune and inflammatory responses, regulating B- and T-cell proliferation and apoptosis. In addition, it may play a role in tumorigenesis, cell growth and differentiation. c-Rel expression can be regulated by various signaling pathways and external stimuli, such as cytokines and microbial components. It is expressed in most cells, with high expression in B- and T-cells. Mutations and aberrant activation of c-Rel has been associated with several diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions. In cancer, c-Rel can promote fibrosis, tumor growth, invasion, and metastasis by regulating genes involved in cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and apoptosis. This ZooMAb^® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Reconstituição

300 µg/mL after reconstitution at 25 µL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.

Armazenamento e estabilidade

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
