indirect immunofluorescence: 2.5-5.0 μg/mL using human A549 cells. western blot: 1-2 μg/mL using whole extracts of HEK-293T cells overexpressing human LAYN.
Layilin (LAYN) is a cell surface hyaluronan receptor, originally identified as a binding partner of talin located in membrane ruffles of spreading cells. LAYN is widely expressed in different cell lines and tissues. This gene is mapped to human chromosome 11q.
Imunogênio
synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal region of human LAYN, conjugated to KLH. The antibody is affinity-purified using the immunizing peptide immobilized on agarose.
Aplicação
Anti-LAYN antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunoblotting and immunofluorescence.
Ações bioquímicas/fisiológicas
Layilin (LAYN) binds to hyaluronan, a ubiquitous extracellular matrix component involved in the invasion of a variety of tumour cells, through its extracellular domain and to cytoskeleton-membrane linker proteins including Merlin and Radixin, through its cytoplasmic domain, implicating LAYN in cell adhesion and motility. LAYN is overexpressed in the human lung carcinoma A549. LAYN down-regulation by RNA interference, inhibits invasion and lymphatic metastasis of A549 cells.
forma física
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

A commonly deleted region in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is the 11q22-23 region, which encompasses the ATM gene. Evidence suggests that tumor suppressor genes other than ATM are likely to be involved in CLL with del(11q). A microRNA (miR) cluster
