Aplicação

The Human Protein Atlas project can be subdivided into three efforts: Human Tissue Atlas, Cancer Atlas, and Human Cell Atlas. Ações bioquímicas/fisiológicas

ZKSCAN1 (Zinc finger with KRAB and SCAN domains 1) is a transcription factor belonging to the zinc finger Krüppel family. It contains Cys₂-His₂ (C₂H₂) zinc finger domain. It plays an important role in the DNA repair mechanism. It is associated with several developmental and malignant disorders, specifically with the split hand and foot disease (SHFD1). It is overexpressed in the gastric cancer cells and more prominent in the metastasis process. In gastric cancer cells, it restricts cell invasion and migration.
