O kit de contagem de células 8 (CCK-8) possibilita ensaios convenientes usando WST-8 (2-(2-metoxi-4-nitrofenil)-3-(4-nitrofenil)-5-(2,4-dissulfofenil)-2H-tetrazólio, sal monossódico), que produz um corante formazan solúvel em água após biorredução na presença de um transportador de elétrons, 1-metoxi PMS. A solução CCK-8 é adicionada diretamente às células, não é preciso pré-misturar os componentes. O WST-8 é biorreduzido por desidrogenases celulares por um produto formazan laranja que é solúvel no meio de cultura de tecido. A quantidade de formazan produzida é diretamente proporcional ao número de células vivas. Dado que a solução CCK-8 é muito estável e tem baixa citotoxicidade, é possível fazer uma incubação mais longa, como 24 a 48 horas.
O kit de contagem de células 8 possibilita ensaios colorimétricos sensíveis para a determinação do número de células viáveis em ensaios de proliferação e citotoxicidade. A sensibilidade de detecção é maior que a de qualquer outro sal tetrazólio, como MTT, XTT ou MTS.

100 Test means 100 wells, so only one 96-well plate?

The reagents provided in kit 96992 are sufficient for 100 tests. A 96 well microplate is not included with the kit. The customer must provide the 96 well plate. Although a solid 96 well plate can be used, a 96 well microplate with removable strips will allow for the most efficient use of the kit.
