Description générale

Monoclonal Anti-KHSRP (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma KS-8 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with a synthetic peptide. K homology type-splicing regulatory protein (KHSRP) is an nucleic acid binding protein. It is localized in the cytoplasm and nucleus of the cell. It contains four K homology RNA-binding domains, two N- and C-terminals and protein interaction motifs. KHSRP gene is located on the human chromosome at 19p13.3.

Spécificité

Monoclonal Anti- KHSRP recognizes human, cow, chicken, dog, hamster, rat and mouse KHSRP.

Immunogène

synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal sequence of human KHSRP

Application

Monoclonal Anti-KHSRP antibody produced in mouse may be used in:
  • immunoblotting
  • immunocytochemistry
  • flow cytometry
  • immunofluorescence

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

K homology type-splicing regulatory protein (KHSRP) acts as a transcription factor that affects RNA fates at multiple levels including mRNA decay and alternative pre-mRNA splicing. It is involved in rapid decay of AU-rich element (ARE)-containing mRNAs and maturation of microRNAs (miRNAs). KHSRP is significantly modulated in response to breast cancer type 1 (BRCA1) expression, suggesting this factor may contribute to the BRCA1-associated tumor phenotype.

Forme physique

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium.

Stockage et stabilité

For extended storage, freeze at -20 °C in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing,or storage in “frost-free” freezers,is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use. Working dilution samples should be discarded if not used within 12 hours.
