Spiroxamine belongs to the class of spiroketalamines. It is widely used as a broad-spectrum fungicide in cereals and grapes with selective, protective, curative and eradicative properties against powdery mildew.

Spiroxamine may be used as a reference standard for the determination of spiroxamine in honeybees during the honeybee poisoning incidents using gas chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (GC–MS/MS).
