General description
La membrane de transfert Immobilon®-FL est une membrane en poly(fluorure de vinylidène) (PVDF) microporeuse qui présente une dimension de pores nominale de 0,45 μm. Elle est conçue pour adsorber des protéines transférées à partir de diverses matrices de gel. La membrane de transfert Immobilon®-FL est hydrophobe. Sa porosité uniformément contrôlée offre une grande capacité d'adsorption des biomolécules. Cette membrane permet un transfert optimal des protéines ayant un poids moléculaire supérieur à 20 000 Da. Elle présente une très faible autofluorescence sur une large plage de longueurs d'onde d'excitation et d'émission. Cela en fait la solution idéale pour les applications de transfert sur membrane ("blotting") avec immunodétection par fluorescence. La membrane Immobilon®-FL peut également être utilisée pour la détection chromogène ou la détection par chimioluminescence classique.

Is 0.22 µm PVDF membrane available for fluorescent detection in Western blotting?

Immobilon PSQ, with a pore size of 0.2 µm, is suitable for various detection methods including fluorescent, radioactive, chromogenic, and chemifluorescent detection. But when using Immobilon PSQ in Western Blotting, it is important to consider that there may be increased background noise, which might require more stringent wash steps to ensure accurate results.

Great for western blots
I have been using this product for close to two and half years now. It is a highly reliable PVDF roll for western blotting. I use it to transfer a wide variety of proteins and use HRP conjugated secondary antibodies for imaging bands. The results have always been sharp, reliable and most importantly, reproducible. I shall buy again when we run out.
