General description

Pair of PhEur 2.2.24 certified polystyrene calibration films. One film is 38 microns and is provided with certification of traceability to seven (7) PhEur 2.2.24 frequencies. The second film is 76 microns and is provided without certification. Both films are mounted on 2" x 3" cardstock holder with a 19mm aperture for mounting in the universal slide holder in all instruments. Includes instructions for two (2) film ordinate calibration and storage case.

Application

  • Fourier Transform Infrared Thermospectroscopic Imager Utilizing Polystyrene Calibration Films: The development of a thermal camera-based Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) thermospectroscopic imager, emphasizing the use of polystyrene calibration films for accurate temperature mapping and spectroscopic analysis in pharmaceutical applications (Chevalier et al., 2021).

  • Rapid Rheo-Optical FTIR Measurement System: Introduction of a rapid integrated rheo-optical and polarized Fourier-transform infrared spectrometry system, utilizing polystyrene films to study polymer films undergoing chemo-mechanical changes, crucial for pharmaceutical quality control and material science research (Unsal et al., 2013).

  • Polystyrene Films in Indoor Radon Dosimetry: Application of polystyrene films as solid-state nuclear track detectors (SSNTD) for indoor radon dosimetry, providing a cost-effective and efficient method for radiation monitoring essential in pharmaceutical environments to ensure safety and compliance (Hadad et al., 2013).
