Beschreibung

Allgemeine Beschreibung

Risperidone is a new central 5-hydroxytryptamine2 and dopamine D2 antagonist.[1] It is used to treat agitation, aggression,and psychosis caused during demnetia.[2] It is a neuroleptic drug.[3] It is also an atypical antipsychotic drug which is used for treating schizophrenia.[4]

Anwendung

It was used as reference standard during RP-UPLC analysis for determination of risperidone related compounds in Risperdal^® Consta (risperidone long-acting injection).[5]
