Biochem/physiol Actions

Uridin 5′-diphosphat-glucuronsäure (UDP-GlcA) ist ein aus Carbonsäure gebildetes Zuckernukleotid. Sie ist an der Biosynthese zahlreicher Zellkomponenten beteiligt. UDP-GlcA ist ein Glycosyl-Donor für Glycosyltransferasen bei der Biosynthese verschiedener Zellkomponenten wie Glycosaminglycane, einiger N- und O-verknüpfter Glycane, Glycosphingolipide und Pektine.
