General description

Chemokine ligand 26/ C-C motif chemokine 26 (CCL26) belongs to the eotaxin family.[1] This enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to quantitively measure the target protein in several biological samples, such as serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, urine, and/or cell and tissue lysates. The antibody pair provided in this kit recognizes human C-C motif chemokine 26.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Chemokine ligand 26/ C-C motif chemokine 26 (CCL26) is an eosinophil-selective chemoattractant that interacts with chemokine receptor 3 (CCR3). It plays a role in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis (MS). In the central nervous system (CNS), CCL26 is linked with an acute inflammatory response in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE).[1]
