General description
Es wurde nachgewiesen, dass Penicillinase aus Bacillus cereus nach der Aufreinigung und Untersuchung auf Homogenität mittels Sedimentationsanalyse, aminoterminaler Analyse und vertikaler Polyacrylamid-Gelelektrophorese drei verschiedene Spezies enthält. [1]
Application
Wird bei der Herstellung von Penicillin verwendet.[2] Penicillinase aus Bacillus cereus wurde bereits in einer Vergleichsstudie mit Penicillinase aus Bacillus subtillis verwendet, wobei sich die Michaelis-Konstante, die Form der pH-Aktivitätskurve und die immunologischen Eigenschaften signifikant unterschieden.
Penicillinase kann zur Reduzierung der Penicillinkonzentrationen bei Patienten mit schwerwiegenden Penicillinreaktionen verwendet werden. [3]
Wird bei der Herstellung von Penicillin verwendet.

Penicillinase katalysiert speziell die Hydrolyse des β-Lactam-Rings von Penicillin.

Eine Einheit hydrolisiert 1,0 μmol des angegebenen Substrats pro Minute bei pH-Wert 7,0 und 25 °C. Als Benzylpenicillin-Einheiten vertrieben. Diese internationale Einheit (mit Benzylpenicillin als Substrat) entspricht ungefähr 600 Levy- bzw. 75 Pollock-Einheiten.

I have just received the product P0389-1KU 1000 units. The protocol I'm going to use requires me to use my 10 mg/ml solution. However, I don't understand what your "1000 Units" of product correspond to. Could you please give me more information pls?

The amount of powder in the vial will depend on the activity reported on the lot specific Certificate of Analysis. For example, lot 0000211383 is reported to have an activity of 115 units per milligram. A package of 1000 units would contain 8.7 mg. The 1000 unit package would prepare 870ul of a 10 mg/mL solution.
