Ochratoxin A wird wie folgt als Mykotoxin verwendet:
- zur Untersuchung seiner Wirkung auf den Stoffwechsel und die Hypoxie bei Nierenzellen (HEK293) menschlicher Embryos
- zur Untersuchung seiner zytotoxischen Wirkungen auf die Epithelzellen in der Brust von Rindern
- als Standard für Gammabestrahlungsstudien mit Lebensmittelerzeugnissen und bei zytotoxischen Studien mit Hep-G2-Zellen
Biochem/physiol Actions
Das Nierengift Ochratoxin A (OTA) wird hauptsächlich von Aspergillus- und Penicillium-Spezies produziert. Es ist immuntoxisch, teratogen, myelotoxisch und mutagen. Es stört die Barrierefunktionen des Verdauungstrakts. OTA weist eine lange Halbwertszeit zur Eliminierung auf und stimuliert eine große Freisetzung inflammatorischer Zytokine.
Ochratoxin A ist ein Mycotoxin und wird in Lebensmitteln gefunden. Es ist nephrotoxisch, wirkt in der Niere karzinogen und induziert die Differenzierung von geklonten renalen Zelllinien. Steigert die Aktivität der ATP-abhängigen Ca2+ Pumpe im endoplasmatischen Retikulum.
