Nystatin-Suspension wird verwendet:
- zur Hemmung der caveolinvermittelten Endozytose
- als Komponente von Eagle′s Minimum Essential Medium (EMEM)
- zur Zählung von Milchsäurebakterien (LAB)
- zur Prävention von Zellkulturkontamination und zur Induktion von Interleukin (IL)-1, IL-8 und Tumornekrosefaktor-α-Sekretion in Toll-like-Rezeptor 2 (TLR2) exprimierenden THP1-Zellen.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Nystatin ist ein Polyen-Breitbandantibiotikum, das die Mikrostruktur von Lipid-Rafts modifiziert. Es kann auf der Zellmembran von Eukaryoten vorhandenes Cholesterin sequestrieren. Nystatin reguliert die Immunantworten durch Zytokinsignalverarbeitung, Lymphozytenaktivierung und Pathogenerkennung.
