General description

  • CM-Glucose-Bouillon minus HIS (Histidin)
  • CM-Glucose-Bouillon minus URA (Uracil)
  • CM-Glucose-Bouillon minus TRP (Tryptophan)

Preparation Note

Der Stoff kann eine gelbliche Lösung ergeben, wenn er in einer höheren Konzentration als 2 g + 15 ml zubereitet wird.

Questions

1–7 of 7 Questions
  1. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1 answer
    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.
For more information, please refer to the Product Dating Information document: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/deepweb/assets/sigmaaldrich/marketing/global/documents/418/501/product-dating-information-06-25-mk.pdf

  2. What is the concentration in mg/ml (g/L) ?

    1 answer
    1. This product does not have a traditional concentration, as it is not in solution; it is considered a pure material with a purity of ≥99.5%. A density is not reported, but literature indicates that the pure material has a density of 1.54 g/mL, which is a mass/volume value that can be attributed to the pure D-(+)-Glucose.

      Helpful?

  3. Is the Glucose catalog number G8270 the monohydrate, dihydrate, or anhydrous form?

    1 answer
    1. This material is considered to be anhydrous.

      Helpful?

  4. Is it alpha d glucose crystal?

    1 answer
    1. This product is not tested to determine the amounts of alpha and beta anomers on a lot to lot basis, but it contains both alpha and beta anomers. Historical data indicates approximately 90% a-Glucose and 7% b-Glucose. Please note that When D-glucose is dissolved in water, the optical rotation gradually changes (mutarotates) due to the formation of an equilibrium mixture consisting of approximately one-third α- and two-thirds β-D-glucose.

      Helpful?

  5. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1 answer
    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. For more information, please refer to the Storage and Transport Conditions document: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/deepweb/assets/sigmaaldrich/marketing/global/documents/316/622/storage-transport-conditions-mk.pdf

  6. Is this product a mixture of alpha and beta glucose? Thanks in advance!

    1 answer
    1. This product is not tested to determine the amounts of alpha and beta anomers on a lot to lot basis. However, historical data indicates approximately 90% a-Glucose and 7% b-Glucose.

  7. What is the difference between product number G8270 and G5767? Thanks in Advance

    1 answer
    1. The are several differences between products G8270 and G5767. The primary difference is the biological source. G8270 is sourced from Maize while G5767 is sourced from Wheat.
