General description
ββ-Estradiol ist ein natürliches menschliches Östrogen. Es ist wesentlich für das Wachstums von Epithel in der Brust und dem Fortpflanzungstrakt, die Reifung von Röhrenknochen und die Entwicklung der sekundären Geschlechtsmerkmale. Estradiol wird in unreifen Keimzellen, Spermatozoen, Leydig-Zellen und Sertoli-Zellen produziert.[1] ββ-Estrodiol agiert als menopausales Hormon. Es ist an der Ersatztherapie für weiblichen Hypogonadismus oder primäre Ovarialinsuffizienz beteiligt. Ein verringerter β-Estradiolspiegel steht mit Herzerkrankungen und Osteoporose in Zusammenhang. Estradiol spielt eine wesentliche Rolle bei der Proliferation, Modulation des Ionentransports und der Steuerung der Apoptose in Sertoli-Zellen. Es erhält die Spermienkonzentration, -motalität und -morphologie.[1]

Product E4389 (β-Estradiol-Water Soluble) is a complex of β-Estradiol and cyclodextrin. Cyclodextrin is used to aid in the solubility of β-Estradiol into water. In order to prepare a molar solution of β-Estradiol you will have to base it on the β-Estradiol content in the solution and not the entire complex.
