Application
Amlodipine besylate is a L-type calcium channel blocker which may be used for the treatment of angina pectoris and hypertension. Amlodipine also inhibits growth of human epidermoid carcinoma A431 cells and has antireproductive effects in male rats.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Amlodipin ist ein L-Typ-Calciumkanal-Blocker. Amlodipin gehört zu einer Klasse von Herz-Kreislauf-Medikamenten, die an spannungsabhängigen Calciumkanälen der CaV1 oder L-Typ Klasse wirken. Amlodipin hat auch blutdrucksenkende und antianginale Wirkungen. Wirksam ist hauptsächlich das (-)-Isomer. Amlodipin hemmt das Wachstum von menschlichen Epidermoidkarzinom A431-Zellen und hat eine anti-reproductive Wirkung bei männlichen Ratten.
Amlodipinbesilat ist ein L-Typ-Calciumkanal-Blocker.
