Beschreibung

General description

GATA binding protein 3 oder GATA3 ist ein Zinkfinger-Transkriptionsfaktor und spielt eine wichtige Rolle bei der Förderung und Steuerung der Zellproliferation, -entwicklung und -differenzierung in vielen Gewebe- und Zelltypen. Das humane GATA3-Gen ist auf dem Chromosom 10p15 lokalisiert. Die GATA3-Expression tritt primär bei Mammakarzinom und Urothelkarzinom auf. Anti-GATA3 kann auch für die Identifizierung von unbekannten Primärkarzinomen nützlich sein, wenn Karzinome von Brust oder Blase eine Möglichkeit darstellen.
