Beschreibung

General description

Cytokeratin 14 (CK 14) ist ein 50-kD-Polypeptid, das in Basalzellen von Plattenepithelien, einigen Drüsenepithelen, im Myoepithel und in Mesothelzellen anzutreffen ist. Anti-CK 14 ist nachweislich bei der Differenzierung von Plattenepithelkarzinomen von anderen Epitheltumoren von Nutzen. Dieser Antikörper hat sich auch bei der Trennung von onkozytischen Tumoren der Niere von deren Nierenzellimitat sowie bei der Feststellung von metaplastischen Karzinomen der Brust als hilfreich erwiesen.
