Beschreibung

General description

Anti-Cytokeratin-Cocktail (AE1 und AE3) ist ein Breitspektrum-Keratin-Antikörper-Cocktail. Er setzt sich zusammen aus monoklonalem Maus-Antikörper AE1, der saure Typ-I-Keratine erkennt sowie AE3, der mit basischen Typ-II-Keratinen reagiert. Beide Klone wurden mit epidermalem Keratin als Immunogen erzeugt. Dieser Antikörper ist für die Identifizierung von aus dem Epithel stammenden Zellen geeignet und weist die meisten Karzinome verschiedener ursprünglichen Lokalisationen nach. Dieser Antikörper-Cocktail kann mit anderen Intermediärfilamenten in Kreuzreaktion treten, wie z. B. demsauren Gliafaserprotein, was zu einer falsch-positive Färbung in Gliatumoren führt.
