Beschreibung

Application

Salmonella ChromoSelect Agar ist ein selektives Medium, das zur gleichzeitigen Detektion von Escherichia coli und Salmonellen aus Nahrungsmitteln und Wasser gebraucht wird. Escherichia coli und Salmonellen sind auf Grund der Koloniecharakteristik leicht zu unterscheiden. Salmonellen geben helle purpurote Kolonien (Lichthofeffekt). Escherichia coli hat eine blaue Farbe, andere Kolonien sind farblos. Die charakteristische hell purpurote und blaue Farbe ergibt sich auf Grund des chromogenen Gemisches.

Preparation Note

27.9 g in 1 Liter dest. Wasser suspendieren. Vorsichtig erwärmen um das Medium zu lösen. NICHT AUTOKLAVIEREN! Auf 50°C abkühlen. Gut mischen und in sterile Petrischalen giessen.
