General description
Dieser Spectroquant® Chlortest ermöglicht die genaue Quantifizierung. Chlorierte Desinfektionsmittel werden weltweit immer noch häufig verwendet, und zwar hauptsächlich bei der Chlorierung von Trinkwasser und Schwimmbädern. In leicht sauren Lösungen reagiert freies Chlor mit Dipropyl-p-Phenylendiamin (DPD) zu einem rot-violetten Farbstoff, der photometrisch nachgewiesen werden kann. In Gegenwart von Kaliumiodid wird mit dieser Reaktion auch gebundenes Chlor gemessen.
Die Methode ist analog zu EPA 330.5, APHA 4500-Cl2 G und DIN EN ISO 7393-2.
