Biochem/physiol Actions

PreQ1 (pre-queuosine1) is an intermediate of the queuosine pathway. Also, PreQ1 binds with high affinity to the aptamer of PreQ1 riboswitch, which attenuates protein expression.
PreQ1 (pre-queuosine1), an intermediate of the queuosine pathway, regulates the PreQ1 riboswitch.
PreQ1 is a nucleobase derived from guanine[1] and a precursor of the modified base queuosine that is present in four tRNAs.[2] Prequeuosine (preQ1) riboswitches are RNA regulatory elements present in the 5′ UTR of genes that participates in the biosynthesis and transport of preQ1.[2]
