Descripción general

Rhodamine B is a thiol-reactive and photostable fluorescent dye.[1]

Aplicación

Dextran labeled with rhodamine B isothiocyanate for possible use in perfusion studies in animals.
Rhodamine B isothiocyanate-Dextran has been used:
  • to label A, CI-M6PR-GFP, Lamp1-CFP-expressing wild type mouse embryonic fibroblast (MEF) cells[2]
  • in endosome/phagosome fusion assay to determine the rate of fusion of endosomes[3]
  • as a component in poration medium to monitor Hela cell uptake[4]

Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas

Rhodamine B stains the tissue in red-violet color and emits a bright red color when fluoresced. It is highly preferred for marking insects.[1]
